What is urology revenue intelligence?

Urology revenue intelligence finds urology care your providers planned that never happened: cystoscopy surveillance past the interval your urologist set, repeat PSA tests and follow-up visits not done, stone follow-up imaging never scheduled, urodynamics and office procedure orders left open, and referrals never seen. Nuvory is healthcare revenue leakage intelligence that ranks these patients for your team.

Why do surveillance and stone patients stop coming back?

They stop coming back because much of their care is surveillance on long, individualized schedules. After a bladder tumor resection, the urologist sets a cystoscopy schedule based on the pathology and the patient's history, and that schedule changes as the patient stays clear.

PSA follow-up is spread across time and people. A repeat PSA may be ordered for months later, drawn at an outside lab, and resulted to a provider who is not the one who ordered it. An elevated result may lead to imaging, a biopsy discussion or simply a recheck, and each path has its own order. When the next step is not booked, the patient waits.

Procedure consults have their own drop-off. A patient may discuss a BPH procedure or vasectomy, take time to decide, and never call back. Stone patients often feel well once a stone passes and skip the follow-up imaging or 24-hour urine collection their urologist ordered.

  • Surveillance intervals change over time Static recall reports do not reflect the latest schedule a urologist set.
  • Outside labs and imaging PSA and imaging results from outside facilities may not trigger a next step.
  • Consults depend on patient decisions Patients who want time to decide often need one more conversation.
  • Symptom relief ends follow-up When the pain stops, stone patients stop scheduling.

How does urology revenue intelligence track surveillance, PSA and stone follow-up?

Where urology practice analytics stops at counts, Nuvory names the patient. It reads recalls, orders, results, procedures, appointments and referrals from your EHR every night and links them per patient. It compares what your urologists planned with what happened, skips patients already booked, and ranks the rest. Rules are built from HealthArc templates and signed off by your clinical reviewer.

  • Recalls and procedure history Prior cystoscopy dates and the next date your urologist set.
  • Labs and results PSA orders and results on file, linked to the follow-up visit or order that should follow, as your rules define it.
  • Orders Imaging, urodynamics, metabolic workups and office procedure orders with status and age.
  • Referrals Inbound referrals with no contact after 7 days or no visit after 14 days, configurable, for urology referral tracking.
  • Claims and HIE (optional) Where connected, they help confirm tests done elsewhere.

Does Nuvory interpret PSA results?

No. Nuvory does not diagnose or interpret results. Your clinical reviewer decides which follow-up rules apply, and urologists decide what a result means for each patient. Nuvory shows where the planned next step has not happened, based on available data.

Who acts on each part of the urology backlog?

Each role sees the part of the backlog it owns, ranked by estimated value, urgency and confidence.

  1. Clinical reviewerA urologist or nurse lead signs off rules for cystoscopy surveillance, PSA follow-up and stone follow-up after spot-checking real patients.
  2. Referral coordinatorWorks new hematuria, PSA, stone and incontinence referrals with no contact.
  3. Surveillance schedulerWorks overdue cystoscopy and imaging recalls from the patient recall list, calling from Nuvory and booking the cystoscopy slot in the EHR.
  4. Procedure coordinatorFollows up on BPH procedure, vasectomy and urodynamics orders without a date.
  5. Nurses and MAsRaise open items at visits already on the schedule, such as an undrawn PSA or a missing 24-hour urine.
  6. Practice administratorReviews urology procedure recovery and surveillance compliance by location and provider.

Which urology EHRs and lab feeds does Nuvory read?

Nuvory works alongside your EHR, lab interfaces and reminder tools. It is not a patient engagement platform; your texting vendor can be connected to carry out outreach. If your group runs on ModMed, Nuvory is designed to work with data from ModMed, athenahealth, NextGen and other supported EHRs through FHIR R4 APIs and, where the EHR supports it and your organization enables it, bulk export and SMART on FHIR. athenahealth is the live connection.

On other EHRs, discovery confirms how your practice records cystoscopy schedules, outside lab results and in-office procedures, so each rule reads the right fields. The BAA, audit logging and access controls are on our security page.

What should a urology group check first?

Ask whether a tool follows changing surveillance schedules, handles outside PSA results, separates consults from completed procedures, and leaves clinical interpretation with your urologists.

How should a urology practice measure surveillance and conversion?

Track surveillance and consult conversion by location and urologist. Procedures and tests completed after detection are compared with your baseline; read the change as correlation with outreach.

Questions, answered

Is Nuvory urology patient recall software?

Recall Intelligence finds patients past the follow-up date your urologists set, such as cystoscopy surveillance or a repeat PSA. It skips patients already booked and closes the item when care is completed. Your reminder tools can still send the messages.

Does Nuvory set cystoscopy surveillance intervals?

No. Your urologists set intervals and record them in the EHR. Nuvory reads those dates and flags patients who are past due and not booked. It does not make clinical decisions.

Can Nuvory track PSA tests drawn at outside labs?

Yes, where the result reaches your EHR or a connected feed. If the data is not available, staff can mark the item done elsewhere with a reason so the patient leaves the list.

How does Nuvory help with BPH procedure consults?

Nuvory flags patients with a procedure order or a consult that has no completed procedure or next visit, based on available data. Urologists and patients decide on treatment; Nuvory helps make sure the follow-up conversation happens.

Can Nuvory follow post-vasectomy semen analysis?

Yes, where the order is in the EHR. If the analysis your urologist ordered has no result after the expected window, the patient appears on the list.

How is Nuvory priced for a urology practice?

Starter is $149 per provider per month for Recall Intelligence. Growth is $299 per provider per month and adds Referral, Procedure, Scheduling, Care Management and Opportunity Intelligence. See pricing.
