athenahealth Revenue Intelligence, Live Inside the athenaOne Chart
Nuvory reads your athenaOne referrals, orders, recalls and checkout follow-ups every night, finds the patients who slipped through, and shows their open items inside the chart and schedule your team already uses.
What is athenahealth revenue intelligence?
athenahealth revenue intelligence is the nightly work of finding care your athenaOne practice ordered, referred or recalled that never happened, then ranking it by estimated value. Nuvory, healthcare revenue leakage intelligence from HealthArc, connects through athenahealth's FHIR R4 and bulk data APIs. It is a live connection today and opens inside the athenaOne chart and schedule as a SMART on FHIR app.
What does the in-chart experience look like?
Open a patient's chart in athenaOne and Nuvory shows that patient's open items: an overdue recall, an open order, a referral that never converted. athenahealth is Nuvory's first live EHR connection, so this view is available to athenaOne practices today.
From the schedule, staff see today's patients who have open items. That makes athenahealth revenue intelligence useful at check-in: the patient is already in the building, so an overdue recall can be raised during the visit instead of on a phone call next week. Booking still happens in athenaOne.

Which athenaOne data does Nuvory read?
Nuvory reads clinical and scheduling data through athenahealth's FHIR R4 and bulk data APIs, plus athenaOne recalls and checkout follow-ups. It reads; your staff keep scheduling and documenting in athenaOne.
| Data | Source | What Nuvory uses it for |
|---|---|---|
| Patients | FHIR R4 Patient | Identity, demographics and contact details |
| Appointments | FHIR R4 Appointment | What is booked, cancelled or missed |
| Encounters | FHIR R4 Encounter | Completed visits and attribution to a department |
| Orders and referrals | FHIR R4 ServiceRequest | Procedure orders and referrals still open |
| Procedures | FHIR R4 Procedure | Completed procedures that close open orders |
| Conditions | FHIR R4 Condition | Problem lists that inform recall and care-management rules |
| Recalls and checkout follow-ups | athenaOne recalls | Due dates and intervals your providers set |
| History | Bulk data export | The two-year historical load and baseline |
What does Nuvory find in athenaOne data?
Each finding is a named patient with an open item, not a chart in a report.

Learn moreHow does an athenaOne practice go live?
Your administrator supplies the athenaOne practice ID, maps departments to locations and approves the app. HealthArc does the rest. The timeline is confirmed during your demo and discovery call.
- Approve the appAn administrator approves Nuvory for your athenaOne practice.
- Load historyAbout two years of history comes in through bulk data export.
- Map departmentsEach athenaOne department is mapped to a location, and local codes are mapped to rules.
- Sign off rulesA clinical reviewer at your practice spot-checks real patients and approves each rule from HealthArc templates.
- Open in the chartNightly runs begin, and the panel appears in the athenaOne chart and schedule.

Which athenaOne practices get the most from it?
Procedure-heavy groups usually see the longest lists: gastroenterology practices with surveillance colonoscopies and cardiology practices with open echo and stress test orders. Primary care groups on athenaOne often start with recalls and checkout follow-ups.
Organizations that also run Epic or NextGen in other divisions can bring them in on the Enterprise plan, with athenahealth as the live starting point. For the technical background on bulk export and app launch, read our guide to FHIR, bulk data and SMART on FHIR.
How is athenaOne data protected?
The app reads only what your administrator approves. More detail is on the security page.
| Control | What it means |
|---|---|
| HIPAA and BAA | Nuvory is built for HIPAA, and HealthArc signs a business associate agreement with every customer. |
| SOC 2 Type II | HealthArc's platform is covered by a SOC 2 Type II report from an independent auditor. |
| Encryption and isolation | Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and each practice's data is kept separate. |
| Role-based access and audit | Staff see only the features and locations their role needs, and every patient view is audited. |

Questions, answered
More in our FAQ, or ask our team.
Is the athenahealth connection live?
Yes. athenahealth is Nuvory's first live EHR connection. It uses athenahealth's FHIR R4 and bulk data APIs and opens inside the athenaOne chart and schedule as a SMART on FHIR app.
Does Nuvory book appointments in athenaOne?
No. Nuvory finds and ranks the patients who need a call or a booking. Your staff schedule in athenaOne as they do today, and Nuvory sees the new appointment on its next nightly run.
Does it use our existing athenaOne recalls?
Yes. Nuvory reads athenaOne recalls and checkout follow-ups, compares them with completed visits and booked appointments, and skips patients already booked inside the window.
What does our administrator need to do?
Provide your athenaOne practice ID, map departments to locations, and approve the Nuvory app for your practice. The HealthArc team handles the historical load, code mapping and baseline.
How is recovered value reported?
As care completed after Nuvory flagged it, compared with a baseline built from your own athenaOne history. That shows correlation with outreach, not proof of cause.
How long does setup take?
It depends on your departments, codes and rule review. The timeline is confirmed during your demo and discovery call rather than promised up front.
