eClinicalWorks Revenue Intelligence, Scoped to Your Version's Data

eClinicalWorks data availability varies by version and configuration. Nuvory starts by confirming what yours exposes, then finds referrals, recalls and orders that never became completed care.

What is eClinicalWorks revenue intelligence?

eClinicalWorks revenue intelligence means checking every referral, order and recall in your eClinicalWorks data against what was actually scheduled and completed. Nuvory, a healthcare revenue leakage intelligence platform, is designed to work with eClinicalWorks through its certified FHIR R4 APIs, with bulk export where enabled. Because data varies by version and configuration, HealthArc confirms which datasets are available before any rule goes live.

Why does an eClinicalWorks setup start with a data check?

Two practices on eClinicalWorks can expose different data, depending on version and configuration. So the first step is confirming what yours makes available. The timeline is set once that is known.

  1. Confirm available datasetsHealthArc checks which datasets your eClinicalWorks version and configuration expose, including scheduling and referral data.
  2. Approve API accessYour eClinicalWorks administrator approves access and names the locations and facilities in scope.
  3. Load historyAbout two years of history is loaded, through bulk export where enabled.
  4. Map facilities and referral typesFacilities, local order codes and referral types are mapped to rules.
  5. Clinician sign-offA clinical reviewer at your practice checks real patients against each rule before it runs.
  6. Incremental nightly updatesAfter the initial load, changes come in each night.

We will confirm which datasets your version and configuration make available.

Where do eClinicalWorks practices lose patients?

Mostly in queues. A referral arrives and waits in a referral queue. An order is signed and sits with no date. A recall date passes while the front desk handles today's walk-ins. eClinicalWorks holds the record; what most practices lack is a nightly check that compares each open item with the schedule and with completed visits.

  • Referral queues Inbound referrals that wait for a first call, then wait again for a visit.
  • Open orders Imaging, diagnostic and procedure orders past their expected window.
  • Missed returns Patients told to come back who never booked.
  • No-shows Missed appointments with no new date.

Which eClinicalWorks data does Nuvory read?

Nuvory reads through eClinicalWorks' certified FHIR R4 APIs, plus scheduling and referral data. Each row is confirmed for your version during discovery.

Can Nuvory open inside eClinicalWorks?

Where your configuration supports SMART on FHIR launch, yes. Where it does not, staff work the ranked list in Nuvory and schedule in eClinicalWorks as usual. Either way Nuvory reads and ranks; it does not write appointments.

Order-heavy specialties such as cardiology, pulmonology and primary care are a common fit. Groups comparing options often also look at athenahealth, the live connection, or NextGen.

What should you ask about eClinicalWorks revenue intelligence?

  • Which datasets will be available for our version? Get this confirmed in writing before rules are built.
  • How are faxed referrals handled? Coverage depends on how your practice files them in the chart.
  • Who signs off rules? Your clinical reviewer, not the vendor.
  • How is data protected? Ask for the business associate agreement and the SOC 2 Type II report on HealthArc's platform; ours are described on the security page.

Questions, answered

More in our FAQ, or ask our team.

Does Nuvory work with every eClinicalWorks version?

Data availability varies by eClinicalWorks version and configuration. The HealthArc team confirms which datasets are available for your practice before rules go live.

Does Nuvory schedule patients in eClinicalWorks?

No. Staff keep scheduling in eClinicalWorks. Nuvory identifies who needs a call or booking and sees the appointment on its next nightly run.

What does our administrator need to approve?

API access for Nuvory, plus your practice details and the locations and facilities in scope.

How is historical data loaded?

Through bulk export where enabled, covering about two years, followed by incremental updates each night.

Can we add claims data?

Yes, optionally. Claims (X12 837/835) or HIE feeds make completion matching more precise where connected. Multi-source feeds are part of the Enterprise plan.
